Kiambu Senator Kimani Wamatangi has called on leaders in Jubilee strongholds to put aside their differences and instead unite to campaign for President Uhuru Kenyatta.Speaking during an interview with a local media station, Wamatangi said Jubilee politicians should not let the outcome of August 8 general elections divide them.He urged the leaders to join hands to ensure Uhuru wins the October 17 repeat presidential elections with a landslide. The Senator noted that Kiambu leaders led by Governor Ferdinand Waititu and his predecessor William Kabogo have united to drum up support for Jubilee."Our main aim is to solidify votes for our President Uhuru Kenyatta, and to reach out to those who did not vote in last month polls,” he said.He observed that more than 70,000 Kiambu residents voted for NASA presidential candidate Raila Odinga, adding that the Jubilee team has embarked on rigorous campaigns aimed at changing their minds."We also want to convince those who voted for NASA that Jubilee is the better option and has an agenda for the country,” said Wamatangi.
